PASTRY CHEF

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Checking on day’s menu content for the preparation of pastries in line with day’s business.
  • Gathering all mis en place for day’s menu.
  • Transferring prepared food to service areas for display and consumption.
  • Preparing food / pastries according to recipes.
  • Practicing strict health and hygiene in dressing and work habits.
  • Any other duties as assigned from time to time.

Knowledge, Skills, Competences and Attributes desired:

  • Certificate in Food Production from any institution recognized by NCHE.
  • A full Malawi School Certificate of Education.
  • 3 years’ experience in a related capacity in a busy kitchen.
  • Endurance and energetic personality.
  • Attention to detail oriented character.
  • Creativity and passion for the career.
