Limbe Leaf Tobacco Company Limited, one of the leading tobacco processors in Malawi, has the following vacant position at its Head Office in Lilongwe.

FINANCE MANAGER

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the job entails managing the Agronomy financial records and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Review and implementation of agronomy accounting systems and controls
• Preparation of agronomy operational and capital budgets
• Analytical reviews and reporting on agronomy monthly management accounts

• Preparation of periodic and ad-hoc agronomy operations reports
• Integrating the agronomy accounting and operating functions with the overall company decision making processes
• Management of the entire agronomy finance team

Qualifications

• Should be 30-40 years of age.
• A Bachelor of Accountancy degree or its equivalent from a recognized university; and
• A professional qualification in Accounting (CA, ACCA, CIMA or СРА).

Experience

• Extensive experience in financial and management accounting.
• Must have strong analytical, reporting, and information technology skills
• At least three years post qualification experience
• Those with external audit experience shall have an added advantage.

Key Competencies

• Excellent knowledge of financial management systems and reporting;
• Hands-on experience with computerized Accounting Systems;
• Ability to perform under pressure to meet stringent reporting deadlines;
• Excellent analytical and effective communication skills;
• Energetic, tenacious, enthusiastic and results oriented
• Professional manner with high regard for personal integrity and trustworthiness.
