Madisi Mission Hospital

Madisi Mission Hospital is a provider of secondary level healthcare services and one of the referral hospitals in Dowa District. It is owned by the Catholic Church, Archdiocese of Lilongwe and is affiliated to the Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM). It is located about 80km from Lilongwe along the M1 road to Kasungu and 1km from Madisi Trading Centre. An opportunity has risen to fill vacant positions within the Hospital as indicated below:

Post: Nurse Midwife Technician
Grade: K
Responsible to: Nursing Officer/Senior Nurse Midwife Technician

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Providing quality nursing/midwifery care to patients
  • Observing patients’ condition and progress
  • Maintaining clean and safe environment for patient care
  • Administering medication and treatment to patients and clients
  • Assisting in the rehabilitation of patients
  • Documenting and maintaining accurate records of all nursing care activities performed
  • Building therapeutic relationship with patients, guardians and fellow health workers

Required Qualifications and Experience

Interested candidates must have a Diploma in nursing and midwifery from an accredited institution, registered with the Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi with at least 2 years’ professional experience in similar roles

Remuneration

A competitive remuneration package in line with Government of Malawi Health Service salary structure including incentives will be offered to the successful candidate.
