The Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawians to fill the following vacant posts that exist in the different sectors of Nkhotakota District Council.

JOB TITLE: ELECTRICAL SUPERVISOR
GRADE: K/M9

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must have MSCE with credit in Mathematics, with minimum of National Trade Test Grade 1 or City and Guilds Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with a minimum of 4 years working experience.

DUTIES

1. Assists to plan and schedule electrical projects.
2. Estimates the time and materials needed to complete the project.
3. Supervising electricians as they work, provide guidance and instructions as needed and report to the senior supervisor.
4. Designs systems to provide proper installation of electrical systems.
5. Assists in implementation of quality assurance system for maintenance and repair service.
6. Assists in data collection and inventory for national data base.
7. Assists the senior maintenance officer in all matters related to planning and coordination of maintenance services.
8. Assists in identification of necessary spare parts, consumables and supplies, as well as replacement tools.
9. Implementation of comprehensive and practical planned preventive maintenance.
