Job Description
This role is responsible for assisting the Procurement Manager in operational management of the procurement office over periods of 3 months to a year.
- Locating sources for supplier and service to achieve value for money.
- Maintaining relationship with suppliers and negotiate for best deals with vendors to get best prices.
- Developing and implementing procurement best practice strategies and policies.
- Ensuring compliance to systems and procedures on procurement and supply management.
- Ensuring compliance and governance for procurement behaviour.
- Identifying cost savings/cost avoidance opportunities and implementing change management processes to shift organisational procurement behaviour to achieve value for money.
- Engaging business units and strategic stakeholders to maintain relationships that assist operationalise the procurement strategy.
- Continuously driving process improvement to achieve operational excellence.
- Responsible for operational management over periods of 3 months to a year.
- Advising management of good disposal policy for company policy.
- Monitoring and scanning external sources of data and share with management.
