Responsibilities
Reporting to the Engineering Manager – Maintenance and Mechanical Projects, the successful candidate will,
among other duties, be responsible for:

• Leading engineering specialists during plant breakdowns.
• Planning, coordinating weekend and off-season maintenance of the plant.
• Ensuring efficient usage of plant spare parts.
• Leading and coordinating mechanical engineering shifts.
• Supervision of mechanical projects installations.
• Keeping and maintaining Integrated Management System records.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience, and Skills
• MSCE with any of the following:
1. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
2. Technician Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
3. Tevet Level 3 General Fitting.
4. Grade 1 Trade Test with Malawi Craft General Fitting.
5. City and Guilds Parts 1 to 3.
• A Degree in Mechanical Engineering is an added advantage.
• Competent in MS Excel and Word.
• Must be able to read engineering drawings.
• Must have attained rigging training.
• Must have vast experience in maintenance of production lines, vibrating conveyors, Bowens, Micro-pulse units, packing presses and ancillary conveyors.
• Must be conversant with Top Ten Engineering Risks.
• Must have leadership qualities.
• Must be ready to work on shifts and weekends.
