A Mid-Sized Audit firm situated in Blantyre is looking for prospective candidates to fill up the following vacancy
TAX OFFICER (1 Post)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting clients handle tax matters with MRA.
- Manage tax registration for individuals, business/companies etc.
- Able to independently file various tax returns (PAYE, WHT, FBT, NRT & INCOME TAX) through MRA Msonkho online portal.
- Advising and updating on any changes made in domestic taxes and other tax legislations.
- Providing general tax advice on technical tax matters as may be sought from time to time
- Independently communicate and follow up with tax authorities on various issues.
- Able to reconcile client’s records with MRA tax records and advise on compliance with various tax matters
- Maintaining a good file system for various clients on all tax related matters.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in accounting (ICAM) Or certificate in accounting.
- A minimum 5 years’ experience in handling tax matters.
- Have a good understanding of tax system.
