POSITION: INSURANCE CLAIMS OFFICER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive, register, assess, and process insurance claims in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Investigate claims to determine validity, extent of liability, and settlement amounts.
  • Liaise with clients, brokers, service providers, loss adjusters, and assessors on claims matters.
  • Ensure timely, fair, and accurate claims settlement in line with service level agreements.
  • Prepare claims reports, recommendations, and settlement proposals for approval.
  • Detect and report fraudulent or suspicious claims in accordance with internal controls.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date claims records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company claims guidelines.
  • Provide quality customer service and clear communication throughout the claims process.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional insurance qualification (e.g., ACII, Dip ClI, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in insurance claims handling with high level of integrity
  • Sound knowledge of insurance principles, policy wordings, and claims procedures.
  • Strong analytical, investigation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and claims management systems.
