EMPLOYMENT VACANCY: (BLANTYRE OFFICE)

AGMA Trust wishes to recruit qualified and experienced individuals to fill the position of Officer-Real Estate Management tenable at the Blantyre office.

OFFICER- REAL ESTATE MANAGEMENT

The purpose of this position is to oversee the operations of residential, commercial, and industrial properties, ensuring they are well-maintained, profitable, and compliant with regulations.

Reporting to the Group Chairperson, the Officer- Real Estate Management duties include, but are not limited to, the following functions:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of properties, including maintenance, repairs, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for tenants.
  • Managing tenant relationships, addressing concerns, and handling lease agreements, renewals, and terminations.
  • Managing budgets, tracking expenses, collecting rent, and ensuring the property operates within financial parameters.
  • Marketing available units, screening potential tenants, and negotiating lease agreements to maintain high occupancy rates.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including safety codes and zoning ordinances.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance property value, such as renovations or upgrades, and overseeing related projects.
  • Preparing regular reports for property owners on financial performance, occupancy rates, and other key metrics.

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, attributes, and skills:

  • A University Degree in Real Estate Management or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with tenants, vendors, and property owners.
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills to address tenant issues and resolve disputes.
  • Financial management skills to manage budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial performance.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of real estate laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize legal risks.
  • Understanding of property maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Marketing and leasing experience to attract and retain tenants.
  • Leadership and team management skills, particularly for senior roles overseeing property staff.
