THE ORGANISATION

 Zamara Pensions Administrators Limited domiciled in Malawi is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Pension Administration Officer tenable at our Blantyre office.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Team Leader, Operations & Administration, the successful candidate shall be responsible for administrative aspects of pension schemes to drive data integrity, client satisfaction and client retention. This role focuses on tracking, overseeing and coordinating the activities of the pension administration team to deliver exceptional service in full compliance with laid down procedures and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Team leader as required in ensuring team targets are met and set out procedures are followed.
  • Maintaining accurate member pension records (bio data, bank details, emails) and updating contributions on the administration system
  • Processing and payment of claims within statutory timelines in liaison with fund managers, custodians and trustees as appropriate
  • Preparing and submitting quarterly returns of contributions to RBM
  • Preparing periodic administration reports
  • Dealing with pension scheme / umbrella fund complaints, disputes, general enquiries and correspondence from members, advisers, trustees, fund managers and communicating with them appropriately

QUALIFICATIONS & KEY COMPETENCIES

The following qualification is preferred

  • Must have a minimum of a degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Pension Fund Administration.
  • Expert knowledge of Pension Law in Malawi
  • Proven technical knowledge of Pension Scheme Administration
  • Knowledge of related legislation, investments and employee benefits
