
Partners in Hope (PIH)
Partners in Hope (PIH) is a faith-based Malawian Non-Governmental organization that was established in 2004 to offer equitable health services and founded on robust commitment to support National HIV and AIDS response in Malawi. PIH has a medical center that operates a general outpatient clinic; inpatient wards; as well as a public HIV- focused Moyo Outpatient Centre of Excellence. PIH is incorporated under the provisions of Trustees Incorporation Act, 1962, in Malawi. With a Program Award under Cooperative Agreement No: 72061221CA00010 “Client-Oriented Response for HIV Epidemic Control (CORE -1) Activity Component One (1)” by the United States of America PEPFAR through USAID, PIH supports HIV Care and Treatment implementation in 123 Ministry of Health, CHAM and Private health facilities in 9 districts across Malawi (Mulanje, Chikwawa, Lilongwe Nsanje, Dowa, Kasungu, Nkhotakota, Karonga, and Chitipa. Under the CORE 1 Cooperative Agreement, PIH is seeking to recruit highly motivated individuals to be deployed in various districts across Malawi in the following positions:
M&E OFFICER (8 POSITIONS)
Position: District M&E Officer
Location: District Office
Reporting to: District Program Coordinator/District Program Officer
Position Summary
The M&E Officer will contribute directly to strengthening data management, improving the quality and timeliness of reporting, increasing the utilization of routine monitoring data by district program teams, and assisting in building capacity of district mentoring and frontline health staff to manage and utilize their data.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead district M&E initiatives on data collection, cleaning and reporting into program and donor platforms.
- Demonstrate knowledge of PIH programs/projects, including indicator definitions and how they are tracked.
- In liaison with Central Office M&E, conduct Routine Data Quality Assessments to ensure facility reported data is of high quality and standard.
- Support the development of all CQI monitoring and evaluation (M&E) plans, indicators, data management systems, and standard operating protocols for data collection and analysis of CQl projects.
- Support facility-based staff in compiling timely and high-quality facility-based M&E reports as required by the MoH and donors.
- Build capacity of district mentoring teams and site level staff in data management, analysis and interpretation as well as continuous quality improvement.
- Monitor implementation of M&E protocols on data privacy, data security, and backups in the context of data management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related/relevant field.
- Knowledge of M&E analytical and reporting tools i.e. Power Bi, Tableau, STATA, SPSS, Excel, SurveyCTO, ODK
- At least 5 years of experience in PEPFAR/USAID funded programs
