Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following vacant positions tenable in National Sales Department and the Forex Bureau.

TEAM LEADER FOREX BUREAU – FOREX BUREAU

Reporting to the General Manager Forex Bureau, the successful candidate’s responsibility will be to lead and inspire a team of Tellers to deliver consistent and exceptional customer service whilst maintaining a high level of integrity and compliance to processes and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following, among other responsibilities:

  • Supervise tellers to ensure excellent customer service and efficient transactions.
  • Authorize referrals within set limits and escalate higher-value transactions as required.
  • Handle and escalate unresolved cash-related customer queries within set timelines.
  • Monitor and manage teller productivity, service quality, speed, and accuracy.
  • Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities to drive sales.
  • Lead and coach tellers to achieve sales targets and improve product knowledge.
  • Ensure adherence to cash handling procedures, security protocols, and compliance standards.
  • Oversee proper functioning of teller equipment and tools.
  • Verify KYC and AML compliance for transactions and report suspicious activities.
  • Ensure proper execution of foreign currency sales and purchases.
  • Provide customers with information on Forex products and services.
  • Balance foreign currency holdings daily and verify cash transactions.

  • Verify and submit Forex documents to the Operations Manager.
  • Assess staff performance and arrange necessary training or corrective actions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • Ability to manage and develop staff.
  • Clear verbal and written communication and ability to prepare accurate reports.
  • Ability to plan and organise in line with job requirements.
  • Ability to analyse and solve work related problems to achieve the correct outcomes.
