VACANCY OF HEADTEACHER
St. Mayinini Private Secondary School, a well-established school in Balaka district, is looking for a Headteacher to lead the new school. The school is situated 200 metres from both the directions of St. Charles Luangwa Community Day Secondary School within Andiamo location in Balaka. St. Mayinini is founded on and guided by Christian values. It has classes from Forms 1 to 4. It has girls’ boarding facilities next to the school while boys can find their own accommodation around the school. St. Mayinini is looking for a competent and experienced Headteacher to navigate the school into a bright and successful future.
The Headteacher
The person should:
- Be a holder of Bachelor of Education or any relevant Degree with University Certificate of Education (UCE) or the Diploma in Education with relevant experience;
- Be a retired Headteacher who has worked as Headteacher in government or any reputable private secondary school;
- Be energetic enough to run a well-disciplined and successful co-education secondary school;
- Have a proven leadership track record and academic achievements;
- Be conversant with the National Secondary School Curriculum with coaching or mentorship skills to support his fellow teachers in their work;
- Be deeply rooted in Christian values in leading, motivating and guiding his /her fellow staff members and motivating learners to work hard to achieve their goals;
- Be of sober habits and moral standing in society; and
- Have the ability to provide psychosocial counseling sessions to learners that need them.
