Our client, a leading telecommunication Service provider is seeking energetic, aggressive, and self motivated and result oriented individuals to join its team in the position mentioned below to work under its Networks Department

NOC/OP ENGINEER

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Incident Management

-Record incidents and correlate them with the events

-Apply appropriate workarounds

-Communicate and coordinate resolution with other support Levels including third party partners and vendors.

  1. Problem Management:
    – To support proactive problem management, the NOC/Support Engineer will correlate incidents with existing problems and also participate in identification of new problems. As workarounds and known errors are a huge part of the NOC Supervisor’s Work, they will work together with a problem analyst to identify and document these.
  1. Availability, Capacity, and Performance Management -Proactive and reactive monitoring.
  2. Service Continuity Management

-Routine activities, such as backing up and restoration of systems -Disaster recovery activities, such as executing system fail-over scripts.

  1. Monitor Network Elements using diversified tools to monitor performance and capability of Network systems.
  2. Performing Network Optimization on Broadband Links
  3. Deployments and Planning of Back-haul Links.
  4. VPN Configurations, Deployments & Support
  5. Excellent communication skills, in both written and oral/verbal
  6. Good organizational and time management skills are needed

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL SKILLS ,

  • Degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Business Information Systems, Computer Science
  • Computer skills, especially in MS Excel, Programming, Access, and PowerPoint.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

  • 5 years’ experience within Telecommunications Environment, preferably with ZTE Core nodes.

  • The ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Self-motivation
  • Good team working skills
