  1. Sales Assistant

Role Summary

The Sales Assistant plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service at the restaurant. As a key representative of the business, you are expected to maintain a professional, confident, and welcoming demeanor at all times, ensuring every customer enjoys a memorable and happy dining experience. Reporting to the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Point of Sale (POS) system to facilitate all business transactions.
  • Assisting the Operations Manager in maintaining, ordering, and controlling food stocks.
  • Planning orders for equipment, beverages, ingredients, and other items required for food preparation, while identifying shortages.
  • Ensuring compliance with Food Safety, Hygiene, and Health regulations in food preparation and handling.
  • Keeping the restaurant premises clean, hygienic, and visually appealing at all times.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • A Diploma or equivalent in Business Administration, Hotel Management, or Catering, with at least three years’ experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in fast-food restaurants.
  • Alternatively, an O’level certificate with over three years’ experience in the hospitality sector, ideally in fast food.
  • Strong sales skills and experience.
  • Digital literacy is essential.

This role requires a customer-oriented professional who is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of contributing to a vibrant, customer-focused restaurant environment.

  1. Chef

Role Summary

As a Chef, you will play a vital role in preparing and presenting innovative, high-quality dishes that align with The Oxtail’s objectives and delight our customers. You will ensure that meals are prepared in a hygienic, safe, and pleasant environment while adhering to the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-standard meals daily, ensuring consistency, flavor, and presentation.
  • Adhere to Food Safety, Hygiene, and Health regulations throughout the food preparation process.
  • Assist the Operations Assistant in maintaining, ordering, and controlling food stocks within budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with and provide support to other team members, fostering a strong, cohesive team environment.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • A Diploma or equivalent in Hotel Management, Catering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working in a professional kitchen.
  • Strong culinary skills with a passion for creativity and excellence in food preparation.
  • Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in the food industry.
