Malawi Electoral Commission
The Malawi Electoral Commission, “the Commission”, is a body corporate created under Section 75(1) of the Constitution, to supervise, direct and preside over the conduct of all elections in Malawi.
In accordance with Section 13 of the Malawi Electoral Commission Act, the Commission seeks to appoint a suitably qualified person with relevant experience to fill the following vacant position within its secretariat.
A. TEMPORARY POSTS
Job Title : Temporary Master Trainers
Responsible to: District Elections Officers and Electoral Services Officer-Training
Location: Councils
Purpose : Facilitating training and ensuring standardization of electoral process and procedures
Key duties & responsibilities
- Training field staff on electoral processes and procedures
- Assist with the planning of training programmes
- Managing all electoral training materials and equipment
Recommend in liaison with DEC’s training venues - Working hand in hand with Electoral staff in councils and regions
- Writing and submitting training activity reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- Teaching experience
- Civil Servants
Core Competence
- Meticulous in planning and organising work
- Ability to impact knowledge and skills – adult learning
- Basic computer literacy including MS
Powerpoint - Good communication skills
- Ability to work in rural areas
- Analytical skills
- Must demonstrate impartiality at all times
- Malawian Citizen with National ID
