Design Outreach (DO) a USA based international NGO, exists to solve these global challenges through the development of innovative and appropriate technologies mainly in the Water, Sanitation, Hygiene (WASH) sector. As a Christian humanitarian engineering organization, our vision is to see low-income and marginalized communities around the world transformed physically, economically and spiritually.
Vacant Position:
Design Outreach has been partnering with local churches and NGOs to deliver gospel outreach presentations during LifePump installations within Malawi. While these presentations have been successful, Design Outreach recognizes that improvements can be made and need for standardization of materials is required.
It is for those reasons that we have created the new position of the Gospel Outreach Coordinator.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Christian NGOs and church organisations in the delivery of Gospel outreach during DO community work.
- Develop standardized gospel training materials for Design Outreach staff.
- Train Design Outreach staff using the training materials developed.
- Develop a gospel community follow up strategy for use after LifePump installations.
- Develop a vetting procedure for non-DO gospel outreach preachers.
- Assist the Zambia WASH Manager in the development of a Zambia Gospel outreach program.
- Work with Regional Director and Field Programs director to develop closer partnerships with strategically chosen churches or NGOs.

- Understand and support the mission of a Christ-centered organization dedicated to sharing the Gospel by word and deed.
- Display a positive attitude, show concern for people and community, demonstrate presence, self-confidence, and excellent listening skills.
- Clearly communicate the Gospel to various audiences and backgrounds.
- Be self-directed, action-oriented, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new and changing situations.
- Have experience and high proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to commit an average of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week (40 hours total per week)
Qualifications
• Minimum a degree in theology.
• MSC is an added advantage.
