Local Government Service Commission invites suitably qualified Malawians to fill various vacant positions existing under Machinga District Council.
JOB TITTLE: Youth Officer.
GRADE: I/M7
SALARY RANGE: Within (Grade I/M7) salary segment
LOCATION: Machinga District Council
REPORTING TO: Principal Youth Officer
Qualification:
Applicants must be serving senior Assistant Youth Officer (Grade J/M/M8 regardless of experience at that grade or in possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Youth Development, Social Science, Family Science, Community Development, Social work or Development Studies obtained from accredited institution.
DUTIES:
- Planning and Developing Comprehensive Youth Development Programmes in the District.
- Coordinating Youth clubs and Youth NGOs in the District.
- Developing project proposal that promotes Youth involvement, inclusion and participation in economic and other development activities.
- Collecting and compiling youth data
- Developing district youth policies.
- Monitoring Implementation of youth activities in the district.
- Compile and submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports to management and relevant district stakeholders.
- Prepare Youth budget and work plans for the District.
- Developing Economical resource mobilization strategies for youth programmes.
- Representing the Ministry at District stakeholders meeting such as DEC meetings and any other meetings where the Ministry is invited at the district level.
- Identifying training needs for youth in the district and designing appropriate training programmes.
- Convening and chairing meetings for Technical Working Group (TWG) for young people.
- Supervise and manage subordinate staff under his/her charge.
