Barloworld Equipment is the official dealer of the Cat Earthmoving Equipment for construction, power generation, and mining, and genuine Cat Parts with operations in South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland, Namibia, Angola, Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique, Malawi, and joint ventures in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Barloworld Equipment also holds full ownership of the main dealership on the Iberian Peninsula and joint partnerships in Eastern Russia and Siberia dealerships.
Barloworld Equipment invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following vacant position tenable in Lilongwe:
PARTS SUPERVISOR -LILONGWE (GG09)
OUTPUTS:
- Supervise and coordinate parts warehouse and counter activities in line with parts policies, processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Schedule resources of own team and allocate tasks to match operational requirements.
- Oversee cycle counts and annual stock counts and record inventory management transactions on the ERP system.
- Manage and monitor parts KPIs e.g. open quotations and encourage the team to improve the conversion ratio.
- Monitor and perform relevant trend analysis to continuously improve warehouse and counter operations through the use of the Barloworld Business System and the principal’s Parts Excellence Programme.
- Maintain a sustained level of parts inventory to meet the country’s requirements and customer needs. Follow up and address open sales and backorder orders promptly.
- Prepare and submit periodical reports as and when required.
- Provide technical and advisory services to assist customers with parts purchases and recommend use of alternative parts as required.
- Build and maintain customer relationships.
- Assist with periodical regional internal audits.
- Use appropriate processes such as succession planning, performance management, and learning and development to develop and grow self and team.
REQUIREMENTS OF CANDIDATE:
- Qualified Logistics, Transport, Marketing, Distribution, and Warehouse Management Diploma/Degree, Technician Diploma will be an added advantage, MSCE.
- 5 years of direct customer service experience, and 2 years of technical experience in a related work environment.
- Working experience with MS Office,
- Exposure to a warehouse environment
- Working experience in ERP / Warehouse system will be an added advantage
