Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons of Malawi origin not more than 40 years to fill vacant positions in the Ministry of Agriculture as follows:-
Post: Printer
Grade: M
Salary: Within Grade M Salary scale segment
Location: Various Departments within Ministry of Agriculture
Qualification
Applicants should be in possession of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) and a Certificate in Printing Technology.
Duties
i. Inspect offset printing machines daily.
ii. Report faults on offset machines as soon as they are identified.
iii. Clean offset printing machines and wash roller daily after use.
iv. Trim offset cartage according to specifications of offset printing machines.
v. Ink rollers according to volume of work and colour required.
vi. Ensure right quantity of a mixture (Water and fountain Solutions) in the designated receptor.
vii. Fair paper before pilling on offset printing machine.
viii. Mount plates on plate cylinder and adjust cylinder according to job size.
ix. Operate offset printing machines
x. Submit first coy for checking and approval to ensure proper registration.
xi. Gum plates.
xii. Initiate ordering of materials and tools necessary for offset printing.
xiii. Any other duty as may be assigned.
