Wamkulu Palace is an up-market luxurious boutique hotel. We urgently require the services of suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following position;
OPERATIONS AND FOOD & BEVERAGE EXECUTIVE
To manage F&B functions and oversee general operations of the hotel for business success reporting to The General Manager.
- A Diploma in Hotel Management with more than 10 years experience in all hotel operations with a touch of class.
- Be a fully qualified hotelier with extensive experience in all hotel operations with a drive to achieve revenues and maintain top level standards.
- Food & Beverage expertise with wide experience of F&B standards, stock control, inventory management, costing, restaurant, functions & conferences administration and hotel accounting.
- Be a specialist in culinary arts with good knowledge of food production and kitchen operations.
- Be a hands-on leader with strong business acumen, people management and training skills.
- Be a master of hotel systems, standards & procedures with advanced information technology experience.
- Be mature and aged between 30 to 40 years.
SOUS CHEF
To lead and take charge of the Kitchen and Food production activities in the delivery of excellent food quality and Pastry to accept able international standards of fine dining.
- Diploma in Food Production from a highly reputable institution majoring in culinary arts.
- At least 8 years hands-on experience in all aspects of food production, international Cuisines, Pastry, and Confectioneries.
- Extensive experience in Planning, menu design, Inventory control, food costing, general management of the Kitchen and supervision of staff with strong leadership and management skills.
- A clear sense of Innovation and creativity in hotel food production advancements with a touch of class.
- Experienced in designing of international cuisines with a world class touch using a wide selection of food stuffs, condiments and spices of local and International species.
- Excellent knowledge of food and Beverage control activities, food data base management, margins and profitability control and the management of Conferences, Banquets, special functions and outside catering services.
- Should be mature and aged between 30 to 40 years.
SALES & ROOMS DIVISION CO-ORDINATOR
To be responsible for marketing & sales, Revenue generation, events management, customer liaison and oversee front office & housekeeping activities reporting to The General Manager.
- Diploma in Tourism & Hotel Management from MIT.
- BusinessManagement/Marketing qualifications with extensive marketing and sales track record.
- At least 7 years hands-on experience in front office operations, reservations, marketing and selling of hotel products and services, events management & customer liaison with a strong business acumen.
- Should have wide knowledge and experience of hotel products, systems, services, IT and hotel software packages.
- Highly presentable with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Should be mature and aged between 27 to 35 years.
- Possession of a valid Drivers Licence
BOOKEEPER
To maintain books of accounts & Asset register, Perform general accounting duties, undertake debtors & credit control, stores and inventory management.
- ICAM Diploma in Accounting.
- At least 10 years hands-on experience in bookkeeping and general accounting functions.
- Good knowledge and experience of sales, bank, debtors & creditors reconciliation, debt collection, customer data base management, stores & inventory management, processing and submitting MRA Tax returns and auditing.
- Extensive experience in computer operations working with various accounting, hotel and other software packages.
- Be a creative thinker with an innovative and business acumen, goal and result oriented.
- Highly presentable with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Should be mature and aged between 30 to 40 years.
PASTRY & GENERAL CHEF
An accomplished General Chef with at least 7 years Hands-on experience in International Cuisines, Confectioneries and general pastry work having worked in a hotel or Restaurant environment that offers fine dining. Should be hands-on with formal training.
SECURITY SHIFT LEADER/GUARDS
To be responsible for general security control to ensure compliance to security and safety standards with extensive experience in security control matters.
- Good educational and security training background. Highly experienced in general security matters with an investigative mind.
- Aged between 30 to 45 years.
ROOM STEWARDS / LAUNDRY OPERATORS
To perform general house keeping operations in Rooms division, function Rooms, Laundry services and general cleanliness of hotel surroundings. MSCE with at least 5 years hands-on experience in house keeping and laundry operations with formal hotel training in the job. Aged between 27 to 40 years.
TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE
To be responsible for field marketing and sales activities of roofing systems, construction and other technical products.
- MSCE with marketing, sales, and business Management qualifications.
- At least 10 years hands on experience of selling construction and hardware products.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate with a strong technical acumen.
- Aged between 30 to 40 years.
- Should possess a valid Motor vehicle / Bike licence.
GENERAL PLUMBER
- JCE / MSCE with Grade 2 Trade Test Certificate in plumbing with at least 10 years experience.
- Highly experienced in all aspects of plumbing works i.e. domestic plumbing, water reticulation, sewerage systems, installation and repair of sanitary ware, geysers, water tanks, bore holes, irrigation systems and
general plumbing maintenance works. - Aged between 35 to 45 years.
GARDEN BOY
Should be fully experienced in land scape operations with a touch of class in maintaining gardens with good knowledge of plants and features. At least J.C. and formal training in the job. aged between 30 to 45 years.
KITCHEN PORTER
MSCE with hands–on experience of Kitchen Operations and familiar with cooking practices. Aged between 27 to 35 years.
