JOB VACANCY
BASED IN DWANGWA, NKHOTA-KOTA
Unitrans Malawi Limited, a prominent employer in the sugar and agriculture sector wants to recruit suitably qualified persons of Malawian origin to fill the following vacancies which have fallen vacant at its Dwangwa Depot in Nkhota-kota.
• 1 x Diesel Motor Vehicle Mechanic
• 1 x High Voltage Electrician
• 1 x Refrigeration Mechanic
Minimum Requirements
Diesel Mechanic
- Must have a minimum of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
- Grade 1 National Trade Certificate or its equivalent obtained from a registered higher learning technical institution.
- At least of five (5)years working experience, in transport and agricultural equipment.
- Attention to detail and willing to work at odd hours or in shifts as workload may require.
- Must comply with safety and health requirements at all times.
High Voltage Electrician
- Must have a minimum of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE )
- Grade 1 National Trade Certificate artisanor its equivalent obtained from a registered higher learning technical institution.
- Have at least three (3) years’ working experience in heavy industrial electrical systems and have knowledge
of agricultural equipment. - Must have attention to detail and willing to work at odd hours or in shifts as workload may require.
Refrigeration Mechanic
- Must have a minimum of Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE )
- Grade 1 National Trade Test Certificate in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
- Minimum of three years hands-on experience in a similar position in a busy organization.
- Must have knowledge of agricultural equipment and motor vehicle aircon systems;
- Must be able to diagnose electrical faults and make necessary repairs and maintenance;
- Must be able to install high voltage split aircon systems.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must have the ability to work in shifts and with little supervision.
