Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant position of Marketing Manager existing at our Head Office in Thyolo.
THE POSITION
The incumbent will be reporting to the General Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute innovative brand strategies to enhance the visibility and reputation of our company and its products.
- Maintains relations with customers by organizing and developing specific customer-relations programs
- Provides short- and long-term market forecasts and reports.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, conduct market research, and identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with different stakeholders including: brokers, retailers, and other collaborators to expand our reach.
- Oversee the creation of compelling content, including visuals, and written materials, to tell the story of our products.
- Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets.
- Prepare shipping documents for both imports and exports.
- Track shipments and ensure timely dispatch and delivery of consignments.
- Liaise with shipping companies and agents on appropriate freight rates for shipments.
- Timely update ElDs & ElAs on all shipments to buyers and management and other stakeholders
- Prepare export and import budgets.
- Arranging in a timely manner all forward contracts and ensure timely delivery of contracts.
- Preparing periodic comparative freight rates to various destinations
Qualifications, Competencies and Attributes
Applicants must have the following.
- Proven experience in marketing, preferably in the food or tea industry.
- Strong understanding of marketing strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative thinking and ability to generate innovative ideas.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or related field
