Principal Planning Officer

The Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant posts existing in various District councils.

JOB TITLE : Principal Planning Officer
GRADE: G/M4
SALARY: Within the range of grade G salary segment
LOCATION : Various District Councils

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

Applicants must be Serving Planning Officers (Grade I/M6), Monitoring and Evaluation Officers (Grade I/M6) or Economists (Grade I/M6) with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience at that grade in local authorities and must be in possession of a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences (Economics), Development Studies, physical planning or its equivalent from accredited institutions.

DUTIES

1. Maintain and manage the Council’s data bank.
2. Prepare project reports.
3. Prepare quarterly, semi-annual output based reports.
4. Monitor performance and progress of Council projects.
5. Serve as Secretary to the Council Data Coordination Committee.
