 SHOP EXECUTIVE (1)

Reporting to the Retail Shop Manager, the Shop Executive will be responsible for providing leadership, including the overall performance and operational management of a TNM shop/shops.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manage shop staffing, employee performance to meet shop targets, and ensure that team members in the shop have adequate information to serve customers efficiently at all times.
  • Analysis and evaluation of staff performance and team members’ training needs, including the facilitation of staff training.
  • Oversee the overall financial management of the shop and adherence to set controls.
  • Resolve customer issues as per Standard Operating Procedures; and analyze as well as report on customer issues reported to the shop, including the analysis of competitor activity within the shop’s catchment area.
  • Provide customer service support to all walk-in customers and corporate customers
  • Ensure adequate computers and other machines are always available for efficient information processing.
  • Ensure that the required Standard Operating Procedures are in place and are communicated to shop staff and are effectively implemented in the shop.
  • Manage facilities in and around the shop including shop ambience, branding, display of consumer merchandise, parking space and identification of shop premises.
  • Facilitate the maintenance of a high standard of hygiene and security at all times.

Educational and Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Business Management or Accounting/Finance
  • 2 years’ similar or related work experience.
  • Ability to manage people, finances, and inventory; solve problems and influence a highly collaborative and proactive cross-functional team.
  • Ability to develop a competitive strategy for the shop.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and analytical skills.

Candidates who are successful in the examination will subsequently be invited for an oral interview.
