Serendib Hotels & Resorts invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Hotel Internal Auditor, responsible for auditing hotel operations in Salima and Lilongwe.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct regular audits of hotel revenue, cash receipts, payments, purchases, inventory and payroll
• Review compliance with company policies, procedures and internal controls
• Verify supporting documents and identify control weaknesses, irregularities and potential fraud.
• Conduct surprise cash counts, stock counts and operational audits.
• Prepare audit reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Follow up on implementation of audit recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• A degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Auditing or Finance
• Relevant experience in internal auditing. preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry.
• Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills.
• High levels of integrity, independence and attention to detail
• Willingness to travel between hotel locations as required.
