CALL FOR APPLICATIONS – DISABILITY TRUST FUND SECOND ROUND OF DISBURSEMENT
The Board of Trustees for Disability Trust Fund (DTF) is pleased to announce the opening of second-round application from eligible individuals and organizations that would like to access funding in form of a GRANT. DTF is a public Fund that was established by Government of Malawi in 2020 to support interventions that directly contribute to realization of human rights of persons with disabilities in the country. The Fund supports programmes and services run by state-recognized registered disability stakeholders including organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs).
Focus Areas for Second-Round Applications and eligibility criteria
- Education support: Applicants should be individual learners with disabilities or their guardians/caregivers enrolled or intending to enrol at both public and private primary schools, public secondary schools and tertiary institutions.
All applications for Education support must be addressed and submitted to The Director General, Malawi Council for Disability Affairs (MACODA), P.O. Box 5971, Limbe. Application forms may also be submitted through MACODA district offices. - Assistive technologies and services including assistive devices: application under this area will be received from local organizations and Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) that are already providing these services.
All application for assistive technologies and services including assistive devices must have a covering letter addressed to The Fund Manager, Disability Trust Fund, Department of Disability and Elderly Affairs, Lingadzi House – City Centre, Private Bag 380, Lilongwe 3. Application forms may be obtained freely from district councils, MACODA, Federation of Disability Organisations in Malawi (FEDOMA) and the Department of Disability & Elderly Affairs.
