VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT 

BACKGROUND

Banja La Mtsogolo (BLM) is a Malawian Non-Governmental Healthcare Organization established in 1987.  BLM provides quality Family Planning and Reproductive Healthcare including HIV/AIDS information and interventions. BLM is a senior member of the Marie Stopes International (MSI) Partnership which works in 43 countries. BLM exists to improve quality of life in Malawi through family planning and reproductive health care services. BLM serves over 800,000 clients annually and makes a significant contribution to the national family planning objectives. The organization has national coverage, operating through 25 clinics, and numerous outreach clinic sites.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant position of:  

POSITION: SALES AND MARKETING OFFICER (1)

LOCATION: LILONGWE

DURATION: TWO MONTHS

 ROLE PURPOSE

The Sales and Marketing Officer is responsible for mid-level leading of effective and efficient planning, prioritization, implementation, documentation, monitoring and evaluation of socially marketed Products. Further, collaborates with the Marketing Manager in the identification and distribution of commercial sales products and services in line with the commercial sales strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruitment of corporate clients
  • Identifying and testing new marketing opportunities for BLM Products
  • Coordinate the social marketing channel sales and distribution in the targeted catchment areas.
  • Compile weekly sales reports.
  • Analyse market data trends
  • Perform any other duties assigned arising from social marketing demands.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in sales and marketing Strong analytical, organizational and creative skills.
  • Excellent communication/ report writing, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Capable to analyse data and write reports.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience working with young people will be a plus.
