Bholato Foods Limited is a maize flour production company based in Lilongwe, Malawi. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, safe, and nutritious maize flour to both local and regional markets. As part of our growing operations, we are seeking a qualified Logistics & Distribution Officer to ensure efficient, timely, and safe delivery of our products.
Position Overview
The Logistics & Distribution Officer will be responsible for planning and executing the transportation and distribution of finished products. This role requires strong organizational skills and knowledge of food-grade logistics in compliance with MBS standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate the delivery of maize flour to clients, distributors, and retailers
- Ensure safe and timely deliveries, adhering to food safety and transport regulations
- Manage driver schedules, delivery routes, and fleet performance
- Maintain accurate delivery records and proof of receipt documentation
- Monitor vehicle servicing, insurance, and compliance with road safety laws
- Liaise with production and sales teams to align dispatch schedules with demand
- Address delivery delays or logistical issues promptly and professionally
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in logistics or distribution within manufacturing or FMCG
- Knowledge of MBS transport and storage requirements for food-grade products is essential
Key Skills
- Strong planning, scheduling, and coordination skills
- Familiarity with inventory tracking and route optimization systems
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance
