ACG has been engaged to hire on behalf of its client, a poultry farm located in Namwera, Mangochi, for the following positions:
1. Head Salesperson – Broiler Chicken Sales
Key Responsibilities
- Sell live broiler chickens at the market
- Manage and supervise other salespersons
- Keep up-to-date stock counts of birds available for sale
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales house records
- Collect and organise daily deposit slips and sales summary sheets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
- Proactively identify and pursue new customers and sales markets
Desired Skills and Attributes
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Good customer service and relationship-building approach
- Highly proactive in market development and outreach
- Organised, detail-oriented, and reliable
- Able to maintain accurate stock, sales house, and financial records
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a sales role, preferably within livestock, poultry, or agri-business
- Experience managing or leading a team is highly desirable
- Familiarity with market operations and stock control
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
2. Head of Security
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the safety and security of all personnel, property, and assets on the estate
- Supervise and manage security personnel
- Develop and implement security protocols and procedures
- Monitor security systems, including alarms and fences
- Respond to security breaches, emergencies, and incidents quickly and effectively
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments
- Coordinate with local law enforcement when necessary
- Provide training and guidance to security team members
Desired Skills and Attributes
- Proven leadership experience in security management
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergencies effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with risk management and safety protocol development
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security management role, preferably in a large estate or corporate setting
- Proven track record of leading and training security teams
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards
- Certification or training in security management, risk assessment, or law enforcement is preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts and weekends, when necessary
