The Gender and Justice Unit is dedicated to promoting gender equality and social justice through various initiatives. We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance and Administration Assistant to join our team.

About the Role: As a Finance and Administration Assisstant, you will play a role in supporting the financial and administrative functions of the organization. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including financial record-keeping, expense management, and general administrative/safeguarding duties;

Financial Record-Keeping:

  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  2. Process invoices, receipts, and payments.
  3. Assist in preparing financial reports as needed.

Expense Management:

  1. Monitor and reconcile expenses.
  2. Support budget tracking and analysis.
  3. Coordinate with relevant departments for financial documentation.

Administrative Support:

  1. Provide general administrative assistance to the Finance and Human Resource Coordinator.
  2. Manage office supplies and equipment.
  3. Assist in scheduling meetings and coordinating travel arrangements.

Documentation and Filing:

  1. Organize and maintain financial and administrative files.
  2. Ensure compliance with document retention policies.

Communication and Collaboration:

  1. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  2. Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth operations.

Compliance and Regulations:

  1. Stay informed about relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  2. Assist in ensuring adherence to organizational policies.

What We’re Looking For: You should have:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Administration or a related field.
  2. 2 to 3 years’ experience in financial Accounting and administrative roles working in a non-governmental organisation
  3. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  4. Attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry.
  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  7. Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards.
