A reputable and rapid growing poultry farm located in Nsaru, Lilongwe is looking for an experienced candidate for the position of Farm Supervisor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee daily activities on the farm, including feeding, watering, and monitoring the health of poultry.
• Create and manage work schedules for farm staff to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of production, feed consumption, and health treatments.
• Regularly inspect poultry for signs of disease or distress and take appropriate action.
• Administer vaccinations and medications as needed and manage disease control programs.
• Implement and enforce biosecurity measures to prevent the spread of diseases.
• Train new and existing staff on farm procedures, safety protocols, and animal care standards.
• Supervise and support farm workers, providing guidance and addressing any performance issues.
• Ensure all staff adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Oversee egg collection, grading, and storage processes to ensure high-quality output.
• Manage the processes involved in broiler production, including growth monitoring
• Ensure all farm equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
• Oversee the cleaning and sanitation of poultry houses and other facilities.
• Coordinate repairs and upgrades to farm infrastructure as needed.

QUALIFICATION
Diploma in animal health
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
3 Years or more.
