SENIOR FINANCE OFFICER NF5 (Reconciliation)
Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer (Reconciliation) and responsible for Finance Officer.
Job Purpose
The Senior Finance Officer (Reconciliation) will assist in overseeing and managing the financial reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role will ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements while supporting timely, accurate reporting and decision-making.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Reconcile financial records from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency, promptly identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Analyse and investigate the root causes of discrepancies, collaborating with relevant departments to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all reconciliation activities, discrepancies, and resolutions to ensure audit readiness and compliance.
- Develop and present detailed management reports, including financial performance analysis and forecasts, to support strategic decisions.
- Maintain accurate loan repayment records in the financial system using verified bank receipts.
- Perform and oversee reconciliation of loan repayments against the loan tracking
- Monitor regional cash flow requirements and assist in the preparation of budgets related to reconciliation operations.
- Analyse financial variances arising from reconciliation activities and develop forecasts to maintain financial accuracy.
- Prepare periodic financial reports as required by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance;
- Candidates who are partly qualified in ACCA or CIMA are preferred
- 3 years of relevant work experience in financial accounting roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of integrity.
