Grade: C2

Role Overview

The Pricing Expert will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies that drive revenue growth, improve market competitiveness, and enhance customer value. This role involves in-depth analysis of market trends, competitor pricing, and customer demand to ensure optimal pricing for the company’s products and services.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Revenue Growth from Pricing Adjustments: increase revenue through optimized pricing strategies.
  • Market Share Growth: increase market share by implementing competitive pricing strategies and conducting market share analysis based on customer acquisition and retention data.
  • Price Competitiveness Index: maintain a pricing competitiveness score to ensure alignment with market trends.
  • Profit Margin Maintenance/Improvement: maintain or improve the profit margin on core products and services without compromising competitive positioning.
  • Customer Retention Rate: improve customer retention through value-driven pricing strategies.
  • Time to Implement Pricing Adjustments: reduce time to implement pricing to ensure agility in response to market dynamics.
  • Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC): optimize pricing strategies to lower customer acquisition costs.
  • Pricing Accuracy and Compliance: ensure 100% compliance with pricing regulations, internal policies and industry standards.
  • Customer Price Perception Score: improve the customer price perception score indicating customer satisfaction with pricing fairness and value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies for the company’s product and service offerings, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market conditions.
  • Conduct thorough competitive pricing analysis and market research to benchmark pricing against competitors and identify opportunities for differentiation.
  • Analyze customer behavior, demand elasticity, and pricing trends to make data-driven pricing decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, and Finance, to develop promotional pricing, discounting, and bundling strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of pricing strategies, identifying areas for improvement and adjusting pricing tactics as necessary.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to track the impact of pricing decisions on revenue, customer acquisition, and retention.
  • Manage pricing models for new products and services, ensuring profitability and competitive positioning.
  • Develop pricing reports and dashboards to provide senior management with insights into pricing effectiveness and market competitiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in all pricing activities.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to optimize pricing strategies during promotional campaigns and product launches.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in pricing strategy, financial analysis, or a related role, preferably in the
    telecommunications sector.
  • Strong understanding of pricing models, market research, and competitive pricing analysis.
  • Proven experience using data analytics to drive pricing decisions and improve profitability.
  • Proficiency in pricing tools, CRM systems, and financial analysis software.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
