About the role
BURN is looking for a Operations Manager who will work closely with various management teams to ensure efficient business operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
- Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices
- Purchase materials, plan inventory, and oversee warehouse efficiency
- Manage factory production staff, local engineering/technicians, and factory maintenance
- Facilitate organisation oversight (matrix organisation) for local Human Resources, IT, and Finance departments
- Help, the organization’s processes remain legally compliant
- Formulate strategic and operational objectives
- Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability
- Manage budgets and forecasts
- Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs
- Manage Environmental, Health, and Safety programs
- Recruit, train and supervise staff
- Find ways to increase the quality of customer service
Skills and Experience
- A Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of organizational effectiveness, process optimization, and operations management principles.
- Strong understanding of business and financial principles, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience in managing and developing teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution, including setting goals, tracking performance, and implementing improvement initiatives.
