Job Purpose

Reporting to the Country Head of Treasury, the successful candidate will be responsible for generation of Treasury income and turnover through aggressive sales and marketing of Treasury products whilst managing risks thereof, minimizing interest expense and losses in all currencies, maintaining competitiveness, and remaining compliant with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving the sales team in forex, treasury and International Trade business.
  • Developing and implementing sales initiatives in acquiring new business.
  • Achieving pre-set revenue targets from new and existing clients within the assigned market segment.
  • Developing winning strategies with each client that result in meaningful new opportunities.
  • Analysing industry trends, market demands, economic variables and taking steps in liaison with the Country Head of Treasury to further business growth.
  • Monitoring business performance on an ongoing business vis-à-vis budget and taking proactive measures to close any gap.
  • Working closely with the business units with a view to expanding
    Treasury franchise.
  • Ensuring that the clients of the Bank are serviced efficiently by quick quotation of rates, quality inputs on the markets and regular contact on telephone etc.
  • Maintaining high standards in terms of compliance and internal process ensuring complete adequacy to audit requirements.
  • Abiding by the rules and regulations laid down by the Reserve Bank, Ecobank’s internal controls and Dealer Code of Conduct.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, Social Sciences or related field of study, ACI Dealing certificate plus at least 5 years’ experience in sales of Bank products and services, preferably foreign exchange and treasury products.
