A Mid-Sized Audit firm situated in Blantyre is looking for prospective candidates to fill up the following vacancy

AUDIT ASSISTANTS (2 Posts)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carry out audits for various clients as part of the audit team.
• Provide support for audit planning and carrying out field work.
• Prepare and analyse client financial records
• Able to complete various transactions tests and analyse receivables/payables and nominal ledgers.
• To verify various reconciliations prepared by the client viz; bank reconciliations, receivable & payable reconciliations.
• Make recommendations and flag out non-compliances
• Be a team player.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma in accounting (ICAM) Or certificate in accounting with 3 years’ experience carrying out audits
• Knowledge of an audit software and exposure to CaseWare will be an advantage
• Should have strong analytical skills and excellent in using excel
