Principal

St. Andrew’s International Primary School

St. Andrew’s International Primary School is an internationally accredited (BSO & COBIS) independent primary school in Blantyre, Malawi. We are a dynamic and modern school that seeks always to challenge the status quo in education. Our curriculum is based on the English National Curriculum but over the last few years, it has been significantly developed to be far more contextualised to our setting.

The majority of our teachers are skilled professionals hailing from all over the world but predominantly from the UK. Over the past six months, they have all become excellent e-learning practitioners as well and our evolving model of education now resembles a ‘Blended Learning’ approach which we aim to continue building
through and after the pandemic.

The actual school site is situated in a quiet upmarket suburb of Blantyre, called Sunnyside. The grounds are extensive and include a large playing field, several smaller playground areas, two swimming pools and a separate Media Centre. Technology sits at the center of what we do and our marketing relies heavily on this aspect. Our children find learning stimulating and fun and this is largely a result of the dedicated approach we have towards creating a creative and inspiring curriculum.

As a school, we have highly developed systems of leadership which is distributed throughout the school, at all levels. It is a school that thrives on providing opportunity to all people, students and sta alike. We have a strong set of global values which underpin our curriculum, leadership and conduct from governance structures to leadership to the wider school life.

If you are a positive and proactive leader who puts children at the centre of their decision-making, who thinks deeply about education and who values modern leadership, we would welcome your application. In return, we can oer you a highly skilled and motivated sta and exceptionally positive and motivated children.
