National Integrated Technologies Limited (NITEL) is inviting applications from eligible and qualified individuals to fill the following vacant positions in its Technical Services Department. The positions are tenable in Blantyre:

Support Technician

Purpose of the Job
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the NITEL network infrastructure and customer support services for all products and service platforms to NITEL clients.

Tasks will among others include:-

• • Providing maintenance and support services for all NITEL systems such as Payment Systems, Equipment, and Software applications.
  • Configure, installs and delivers equipment to clients’ sites including site preparation and connectivity set-up
  • Configures, repairs, deliver and install POS devices at retailers, merchants, banks and other customers
  • Carry out survey for network installation. Install and configure network equipment and train users
  • Trains retailers/merchants on use of POS devices
  • Provide Tier- and Tier-II support for the infrastructure and other Systems
  • Monitor, provide utilisation statistics and availability for network links

Qualifications

• • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
  • University Diploma in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/IT

Knowledge, Experience and Skills
The ideal candidate will have the following requirements:-

• • The ideal candidate will be between 22 and 30 years old
  • Ability to work on different software platforms (Windows, NT, MS OFFICE, LINUX)
  • Excellent PC hardware and software skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of POS devices
