Banja La Mtsogolo’s Mission is ‘Children by Choice, not Chance’, and aims to reduce maternal mortality and rapid population growth by ensuring that women and young people, mostly underserved and from hard-to-reach areas, have access to information and service options in family planning/sexual reproductive health (FP/SRH) and HIV/AIDS. Since its founding in 1987, Banja La Mtsogolo has established itself as a market leader in the delivery of quality Family Planning and Reproductive Healthcare products and services and HIV/AIDS information and interventions. This is done through its main service delivery channels: Outreach, Static Clinics, Social Marketing of BLM products and public sector strengthening activities. BLM serves over 800,000 clients annually and makes a significant contribution to national family planning objectives. The organization has national coverage, operating through 25 clinics, and numerous outreach clinic sites in rural Districts. In response to rising adolescent pregnancy and maternal mortality ratio in Malawi, Banja La Mtsogolo is increasing its focus on reaching
young people and expanding access to family planning services. BLM is a senior partner of Marie Stopes International (MSI) Reproductive Choices, working in 43 countries across the globe. Overall, BLM exists to improve quality of life in Malawi in supporting the Malawi Government.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified person to fill the following position existing in the organisation.

LOCATION: BLM Support Office – Lilongwe
REPORTING LINE: Clinical Quality and Training Manager

The primary responsibility of this role is to further BLM’s Goals through proper documentation and Data entry to enhance the Prevention of unwanted Births and its mission of ensuring the individual’s right to Children by Choice not by Chance

• Maintaining all Clinical Quality and Training Databases
• Data entry into all Clinical Quality and Training Databases
• Verifying competency assessments dates and levels with the field teams
• Following up with all the assessors to submit competencies for entry into Databases
• Following up action plans and updating action plan tracker
• Taking minutes during team meetings and MAT
• Following up request with the finance team
• Assisting the team members in processing liquidations and requests
• Assist Clinical Quality and Training team in monthly report compiling
• Support with clerical duties such as typing, filing, and photocopying
• Assist the Clinical Quality and Training Team in ensuring Clinical Governance is adhered to


• Diploma in Business Management or related field
• Tertiary Certificate in Computing will be an added advantage

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Office Administration in a Business or NGO sector is essential
• Computing experience – desirable

• Sensitivity and high regard to confidentiality
• Positive attitude towards personal choices and non-judgemental
• A high standard of written and spoken English and Chichewa
• Advanced computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated high attention to details and ability to follow through tasks to completion
• Be pro-choice
