The Anglican Council in Malawi (ACM) has received funding from Episcopal Relief and Development (ERD) to expand the implementation of Moment that Matters (MtM) program to new districts of Mzimba, Mulanje and Kasungu. The specific objectives of the program are to contribute to the reduction of under 5 child mortality rates in Malawi, to promote early childhood parenting skills and to empower caregivers social economically.

ACM is now seeking the service of suitable candidates to fill positions of two Field Officers for the
Diocese of Lake Malawi and Southern Malawi.

FIELD OFFICER
The Field Officer will be reporting to the Diocesan Programme Coordinator and he/she will be a link between the community and the Diocese.

MAIN DUTIES

  • Develop monthly implementation work plans and budgets
  • Conduct monthly field monitoring, Coaching, Mentorship and Support Supervision (CMSS) in the community for effective implementation of the MtM project.
  • Facilitate monthly reflection meetings with volunteers
  • Compile monthly and quarterly reports
  • Facilitate coordination and networking of the program at community and district level
  • Facilitate Community resource mobilization

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least Advanced Diploma in social Sciences, social development, community development, food security, health and nutrition or other related field.
  • At least 3 years’ experience working directly with communities
  • Well-developed Community mobilization skills.
  • Excellent facilitation skills
  • Proposal and resource mobilization skills
  • Excellent training and communication skills in English and local languages.
  • Must be a Christian in good standing.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially MS word, excel and Power point
  • A Motorcycle licence class A is a must.
