SOLICITATION FOR MOTOR POOL CLERK
OFFICE OF EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT (OEM)

This post is based in Lilongwe and is open to Qualified Malawian Citizens.

BASIC FUNCTION
This position is with the Executive Office, USAID/Malawi Motor Pool. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as motor pool data entry clerk responsible for Motor Pool Services and vehicle Maintenance. The incumbent will be responsible for data entry for all ICASS-ASP Vehicles in the Fleet Management Information System (FMIS) and other personnel related data in Motor pool.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Education: Completion of Secondary School Education, Diploma in Computer Studies, Transport and Logistics or Accounting profession. Must have Class G driver’s license.
  2. Prior Work Experience: Minimum of two years of progressively experience in data entry plus One year driving experience.
  3. Language Proficiency: Level II English and Chichewa (fluent) ability to write and verbal is required.

EVALUATION AND SELECTION FACTORS
After an initial application screening, the best qualified applicants may be invited for a written examination and to an oral interview.

2. Experience: Pass/Fail
3. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 40 points

Basic understanding of data entry requirements, vehicle reports and preventive maintenance.
Must have good computer skills (Word, Excel, Access database)

4. Interview (Oral & written test): 60 points

TOTAL POSSIBLE POINTS: 100 points

The successful candidate will be selected based on a review of his/her qualifications, work experience, skills, and abilities; an interview; and the results of reference checks.

The hiring panel may check references that have not been specifically identified by applicants and may check references before or after a candidate is interviewed.

Salary range: $6,703 – $10,399 (annual basic salary paid in local currency Kwacha at the prevailing exchange rate), equivalent to FSN-4.
