VACANCY: FINANCE MANAGER
The Kamuzu University of Health Sciences Sports Complex, a Strategic Business Unit (SBU) of Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS), has a vacant position of Finance Manager. The position is tenable in Blantyre on a two-year contract basis which is renewable based on satisfactory performance.
The position details are as follows:
Job Title: Finance Manager
Location: KUHES Sports Complex
Responsible to: General Manager
Responsible for: Accountant
Main purpose of the job
To provide Financial Management Services for the KUHeS Sports Complex
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Advising the General Manager on all aspects of Financial and assets management
- Controlling and coordinating the Sports Complex accounting functions
- Facilitating the preparation of periodic budget and forecast estimates
- Controlling of expenditure and authorizing payments including reviewing and analyzing the payroll
- Analyzing and consolidating management accounts and financial statements
- Facilitating the management and revaluation of assets and stores
- Supporting the development and reviewing financial and investment policies, plans, strategies, procedures and regulations
- Designing and implementing internal controls
- Development and implementation of resource mobilization strategies
- Fostering efficient utilization of resources at the Sports Complex
- Managing external and internal audits
- Preparing periodic accounts and providing detailed analysis.
Minimum education qualification and experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related fields from a National Council for Higher Education recognized University
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAM and Member of ICAM in good standing.
- At least 5 years’ experience at management level
