Muslim Youth United is seeking highly motivated and qualified individuals for the paid position of Executive Director.

Job Description: Executive Director

The Executive Director is responsible for the overall management and direction of the organization.

This includes the development and implementation of programs, the management of staff and volunteers, the development and management of budgets, and the overall operations of the organization.

The Executive Director will work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the organization’s mission is being met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement programs that align with the organization’s mission
  • Manage and supervise staff and volunteers

  • Develop and manage budgets

  • Represent the organization to external stakeholders
  • Work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the organization’s mission is being met

  • Coordinate and manage on-the-ground projects

  • Handle the administration of two We Care pediatric wards and the weekly feeding program at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital
  • Come up with new innovative activities to engage the youth and keep existing programs running.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position
  • Must have basic Islamic Education
  • Minimum of 5 IGCSE qualifications or relevant qualifications
  • Experience in non-profit management or a related field
  • Strong leadership and management skills

  • Written and spoken proficiency in English
  • Understanding of and experience with budget management
  • Strong organizational and planning skills

  • A good understanding of MS Office

  • Able to competently work with Social Media channels

  • Advanced Islamic education would be an added advantage.
